Our apologies, some letters are confusing. Most mistakes involve "Zero" and "O", and capitol "I"(eye) and lower case "L". Reference your Tag number to see a zero. A zero is tall and narrow where a capitol "O" is uniformly round. For the capital "I" lower case "L", try the alternate letter, if that does not work contact us on the info line at info@mymedictag.com
A number of factors could be causing this. Number one is that the camera cannot clearly focus on the QR barcode. A good rule of thumb is if the barcode is in focus to your eye, then it is in focus to the camera. If you have an iPhone, make sure the HDR (High Dynamic Range) is turned On. HDR Off is the default setting. If you have an Android device, select Goggle Lens. Hold your device 4-5 inches from the QR code with a steady hand.
Because medications are so important, they are listed under the "Main" heading. Always list medications, along with allergies, in order of importance, rather than alphabetical. This will allow the responders to quickly see the severity of your unique situation at hand.
Use this format when entering your medications; Drug Name, Dosage, Frequency. For example, Metropolol, 25mg, twice daily.
Take the information directly from the container. Another way to help you remember what your medications are for is to list the condition after the medications name, for example, Metropolol, (for A-Fib), 25mg, twice daily.

QR stands for Quick Response. This type of popular barcode can be easily read using the camera of a smart phone or iPad type device. For iPhones, make sure the HDR (High Dynamic Range) is turned On. HDR "Off" is the default setting. For Android phones, select Goggle Lens. MyMedicTag also works with any of the free scanning applications available.
Traditional barcodes as we know them are one dimensional. QR barcodes store information both vertically and horizontally allowing them to hold up to 7100 characters of data. They can also be scanned from any distance and from any angle.
